Maintenance

Blade maintenance

Rotor blades are exposed to heat, sand, rain, snow and hail; the surface of the blades is often subject to extreme weather conditions. Wear and tear is of negative influence on the aerodynamics and increases the turbulence of the blades which results in a decreased total extraction.

Periodical service and blade maintenance even improve the performance during the lifespan of the blade. Redak performs maintenance and repair on rotor blades, both polyester- and epoxy blades.

SURVEYS

Well-timed surveys and analyses of visible cracks are crucial in the avoidance of costly repair in the future.  By regular inspection of the turbines, eventual damage to the wind- turbines can be discovered in the early stages.
This applies particularly to bolts of lightning, which always have to be inspected thoroughly.
